The unique characteristics of Ciranova Reactive Stains
Ciranova reactive stain is a special product for obtaining unique finishes.
For more than 20 years Ciranova has been the market leader in the development of reactive stains, for both the professional and the industrial market.
Reactive stain is composed of a combination of dyes and raw materials that react with tannins in the wood. The reaction with the tannins in the wood creates an aged and natural finish. The reactive stains work best on oak wood but also produce beautiful results on other species.
After the reaction time, the reactive stain should be finished with oil or waterborne finishes.
» Reacts with tannin in the wood and creates a unique finish.
» Endless possibilities in combination with colored oils.
» Color intensity can easily be adjusted with Reactive stain Clear.

Achieve an authentic, complex, and deeply aged architectural appearance with Ciranova Reactive Stain. Unlike standard pigments that simply sit on top of wood cells and muddy the grain, this premium waterborne chemical treatment penetrates deep into the wood fibers to react directly with the natural tannins inside the wood grain. This chemical reaction develops unique, multi-tonal vintage and weathered characteristics from within.
