Helps minimize the darkening of light-colored wood from the influence of sunlight. This primarily leads to problems when carpets or items of furniture are moved at a later date and the change in wood color becomes very noticeable. Shows good effects on many light-colored wood types such as maple, birch, ash, spruce. Lightening of dark types of wood cannot be prevented by using this product.

Recommended use
Additive for all LOBA Water-based finishes protecting light colored wood species against yellowing from exposure to sunlight.

- Sand and prepare floors according to NWFA guidelines.
- ALWAYS PREPARE A SAMPLE OR TEST AREA TO DETERMINE COMPATIBILITY, APPEARANCE, AND DESIRED RESULTS.
- Shake material well before use.
- Do not thin. Do not add water.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 55°F (13°C). Make sure material is at room temperature. Always maintain adequate ventilation during all phases of the coating and drying process.
- Apply evenly at the recommended coverage rate. Avoid streaks, puddles, and lap marks.
Drying time
- UV-Protect does not alter the dry time of the desired finish.
Recommended Procedure for wood floors:
- Add UV-Protect only right before the application by shaking or stirring thoroughly.
- When using 2-component-systems (2K Duo, 2K Supra A.T.) add UV-Protect only AFTER adding hardener to the mass!
- Perform application according to technical information of the finish.
- 1K finish mixed with LOBA UV Protect must be applied within 24 hours, 2K finishes within the indicated application time.
- Longer stability is not guaranteed.
Can be combined with all LOBA water-based finishes. The application properties of the finish, its product combinability, and the drying time remain unchanged. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet of the corresponding finish.
Compatibility
When this product is used in combination with other LOBA products the technical information of these products must be followed. Refer to the Technical Data Sheets. LOBA cannot guarantee the suitability of products other than LOBA.Share
